Sky Surfing is the Ideal Gift for the Skydiver in Your Life

Do you have a friend or family member that already skydives and needs a new challenge? It can be hard to find the right gift for someone who regularly participates in challenging sports. Sometimes a spin on something they already enjoy can be a gift they will appreciate. The experience they already have will make the new challenge easier to get into and they may be able to try more than someone who has never done either of the sports.

There is a new way to skydive that involves more of a challenge and can be very rewarding. Sky surfing uses the same basic techniques as skydiving but with a board attached to the divers feet. During the freefall, surfing tricks are performed. Then the parachute is pulled and used to land.

The board used for this sport is smaller than a surf board and is removable in case there are problems. Standing upright is the simplest trick and requires a lot of practice. The extra drag caused by having the board disturbs the diver’s balance and can flip them over. Learning how to control the board is the biggest challenge because control will allow them to open the parachute and land safely.

After the parachute is opened, everything else uses the same techniques as regular skydiving. Once they have mastered standing upright, some of the advanced tricks they can try include loops, rolls, and helicopter spins. They will probably not be able to perform advanced tricks immediately, but will learn the basics and can continue if they like it.

Don’t rack your brain trying to figure out a gift. This is one of many extreme adventure gifts for anyone that likes difficult sports. The gift will be even more gratifying if it starts a new hobby and challenge for your friend or family member.
